ABS-2

ABS-2 is one of the most powerful commercial satellites in the Eastern Hemisphere. Located at 75 degrees East longitude, the satellite has over 12 kW of payload power and up to 89 active C-band, Ku-band, and Ka-band transponders across 10 different beams, bringing increased capacity and transmission power to the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Commonwealth of Independent States/Russia. It provides a wide range of services including Direct-To-Home (DTH), cable TV distribution, VSAT services, data networks, and telecommunications services. The satellite was launched in February 2014.
