Brian Kosinski is the Vice President of Mission Assurance at SSL. In this role, he is responsible for the structure and integrity of the SSL Quality System and ensures that all satellites are designed, built, and tested to approved standards, meet customer requirements, and are certified for launch. He has more than 27 years’ government and commercial satellite industry experience.
Mr. Kosinski has 23 years of increasing levels of responsibility at SSL. He started as the Failure Review Board chairman for the GOES program, spent several years as a reliability analyst, then progressed through several reliability and product assurance management positions. He has been instrumental in all aspects of satellite reliability, strengthening product development procedures, and implementing robust qualification and failure review practices.
Before joining SSL, Mr. Kosinski was an officer in the U.S. Navy responsible for the qualification of on-board processor and data handling systems for a national asset spacecraft program.
Mr. Kosinski holds a bachelor's degree in physics from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s degree in electrical engineering obtained from the Space Systems Engineering curriculum at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
