Adam Marks is SSL’s Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer, responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy.
Adam has nearly 20 years of international, high-tech business experience. He previously worked at the Thales Group, where most recently he was U.S. vice president for strategy, marketing, and business development. He led multiple organic and inorganic initiatives that focused on key digital technologies relevant for aerospace and defense applications, including in mobile broadband connectivity, cybersecurity, and big data analytics. His work in the space systems market included leading Thales’ business activities in SATCOM equipment and services as well as executing strategic investments in “New Space” remote sensing platforms.
Earlier in his career, Adam was a strategy consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and a corporate M&A lawyer. Adam is on the board of advisors at Measuring Success, a data analytics start-up focused on the non-profit sector, and is also a fellow at the Truman National Security Project.
Adam earned his bachelor’s degree at Yale, his master’s degree in international affairs at Columbia University, and his law degree at George Washington University.
